Hyperia is open! Wait – no it’s not…

Hyperia opened! It had an opening ceremony, a fly-by, a closing ceremony, a gold carpet, balloon arches and a 5 hour queue!!!

On the 25th of May, many more people had come to Thorpe park to ride hyperia on it’s second day of public operation… to find it shut! The park quickly responded by giving everyone free return tickets, but for Thorpe park and Mack rides… this was not a good showing!

So, it turns out that one of the air compressors (for the air gates) was bust! So the ride has had to be shut while they reinsert it into the system.

In other news, Top thrill 2 (the ride at cedar point from two weeks ago) is closed INDEFINITELY!!! Does this mean it’s the shortest operating coaster of it’s size? Will it reopen? I’m not sure, but Zamperla have alot to answer for! They also need to address everyone’s complaints about the Volares…
